Why choose a .PROPERTY domain?

This is the broadest word in the sector, by a wide margin. .estate names an estate, .realty the brokerage, .house a house: each names a specific asset. “Property” names the ownership relation itself — so the building, but also the land, the contents, and even intellectual property. Worth noting for the British market: where North American English says “real estate”, UK English routinely says “property”. It is the trade’s own term, not a loose synonym.

The British term

In the UK, “property” is the standard word for the sector. Useful if your clients or partners sit on that side.

Broader than real estate

Movable goods, estates, intellectual property, copyright. The word covers ownership itself, not only the walls.

Lettings management

Leases, maintenance, emergencies, inventories, tenant relations. A trade distinct from brokerage, and often poorly served online.

The portfolio

Income properties, yield, vacancy, financing. Investors are looking for figures, not photographs of kitchens.

Against .estate and .realty

.realty says brokerage, .estate says the asset, .house says the house. Take .property when your work runs wider than brokerage alone.

• It is the British trade term. Where North America says “real estate”, the UK says “property”.
• No registration restrictions. No brokerage licence to demonstrate to the registrar.
• The word is long: eight letters. Count the whole address before choosing, especially with a long name.
