Price increase at cPanel

Updated the:

cPanel price just increased. Ou our sire, for 7 years, we have been striving to offer our customers the best products at the best possible prices.

In 2016, we lowered all prices for our web hosting packages and increased the capacity in each package. Some might even remember our “Copper” plan that only had 250 MB of storage, with no possibility of using a database! Now, for the same price, you can have more than 100 GB of storage in our “Eco” plan.

In 2017, we adapted the pricing of our virtual servers. Most servers have been reduced by 10% to 25% while benefiting from additional resources and features.

The Price Increase

We are always looking for a way to offer more for less to all our customers, but in some cases, this is not always possible. cPanel, one of our renowned suppliers, has announced a significant change in the pricing structure of all licenses for its well-known control panel. The new structure for cPanel price will now be based on “per account” rather than per server. This change is equivalent to a price increase in the range of 100% to 600% per license.

For those who are interested, you can find many discussions about these changes in many forums on the web, here are some links for those interested:

cPanel says that these changes were primarily aimed at businesses that host approximately 3,000 accounts on the same server. At Astral Internet, we usually stay below 300 to optimize the performance of each server.

The Consequence

Unfortunately, this change requires us to adjust our rates for all virtual servers with cPanel licenses. Therefore, the new pricing structures will follow the new pricing structure imposed by cPanel and will be based on the amount of account hosted on a server. All virtual servers hosting a single account with cPanel will not see their prices change. The new pricing structure for managed and fully managed will be available on our virtual server page.

The new pricing structure will come into effect on Monday, September 16, 2019.

A customer can at any time reduce the number of accounts on his server and open a technical support ticket via his client access so that we can adjust the price of his license.
